They offer an array of bakery and food ingredients, as well as a wide range of canned, frozen, and concentrated fruits catering to specific customer requirements.
THE ROLE
As the Linehaul Transport Allocator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of all interstate transportation, a responsibility recognised by management as one of the most critical within the business.
You’ll maintain firm carrier relationships. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to achieve consistent, on-time, and complete dispatch performance across all operations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Deliver effective site operations and maintain customer service level
- Plan and allocate daily delivery schedules and delegation of duties to personnel.
- Monitor driver routes and deliveries while managing fatigue.
- Coordinating daily shipments/recording data working towards tight deadlines.
- Maintaining dedicated carrier relationships to ensure consistent, on-time, and complete dispatch performance.
- Control the scheduling of all arrivals and dispatches
- Providing clear direction and support to warehouse staff with a calm and concise demeanour.
- Handling carrier portals and online pallet systems efficiently.
- Solving operational challenges with a strategic mindset to ensure smooth operations.
THE ESSENTIALS
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge within the food transport industry.
- Understanding of National Freight company rate card structures.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Sapphire One is preferred but not essential.
